On a city trip with your children? Good idea! Valencia is a great city to go with your children. I give you some tips to do in this blog.
First the zoo. Bioparc is located a few kilometers outside the city center of Valencia. The zoo is divided into different parts, so you can admire all the different animal species in their own habitat. You will find giraffes, elephants, gorillas, lions and crocodiles. So, plenty to see! Are you a fan of aquatic animals such as dolphins and sharks? Then visit L’Oceanografic.
L’Oceanografic is one of the six parts of the City of Arts and Sciences, the largest aquarium in Europe! More than 500 animal species and 40,000 different underwater animals can be admired.
While you’re at the City of Arts and Sciences, don’t forget to visit the beautiful Turía park! This nine-kilometer-long park was originally a river and completely car-free! A fun way to discover this park with children is by bicycle. Along the way you will come across the large play park ‘Gulliver’. A good time to rest from the bike ride and let the children play on this large climbing frame. It’s totally free!
If you still have energy left, it is also nice to cycle to the beach. For this you can cycle out of the Turía park completely, but please note: the entire park is nine kilometers long. A decent bike ride, but luckily there are plenty of nice places along the way to rest or have a drink. Have fun!
